These two medications are from the same class. Munjaro is a second generation medicine with a few improvements over Semaglutide. The largest benefit is that you typically need to increase the Semaglutide dose every month for 6 months to achieve the maximum weight loss with increased cost every month. With Munjaro in only the second month you are at the maximum weight loss dose. Keeping cost low and staying on a much lower dose of medicine long term are both huge benefits.
